Of Course, It’s a Course

It’s been too long since I’ve posted a blog here, but there is a good reason. I spent many months working on what I intended to be a book. Instead, it has turned into something much more.

I just finished creating an online course titled, “3 Steps to Recovery: A Trauma Survivor’s Guidebook”. It’s intended to serve as a framework for trauma survivors and their loved ones and helps bring context to mental health recovery. The goal? Help trauma survivors more quickly and efficiently begin their mental health healing.

I did it the difficult way, through trial and error. And, in the end, I wandered for over 15 years, trying to make sense of this post-trauma world I was living in—and failing at. It wasn’t until I was able to build context around what I was feeling and how I was reacting was I able to start working through the issues.

I’m not saying this course is the cure all for a trauma survivor dealing with mental health issues. It isn’t a substitute for professional counseling or other mental health resources or approaches to care. I am suggesting that this course can be a great jumping off point, and can accelerate healing.

I invite you to take the course. You can find it by clicking on “course” at the top of this webpage or by clicking this link. When finished, send me a message and share your opinion or feedback about the course. I’d love to know how you perceived it, what value you gained from completing it, and what it could include that would make it better.
